Payment and Cancellation Policy for Volunteering
Booking Process:
- Explore Projects: Browse through our available volunteer projects and select the one that aligns with your interests and skills.
- Submit Application: Fill out the online application form, providing relevant details about yourself, project preferences, and desired dates.
- Confirmation and Deposit: Once we receive your application, our team will review it and confirm the availability of your chosen project. You will then be required to pay a deposit to secure your placement.
- Pre-Departure Information: After the deposit is received, we will provide you with comprehensive pre-departure information, including project details, packing guidelines, visa requirements, and travel tips.
- Final Payment: The remaining program fees must be paid before your arrival. We will provide you with the payment instructions and options.
Program Fees:
- Our program fees are inclusive of project placement, accommodation, meals (as specified), airport transfers, orientation, in-country support, and 24/7 emergency assistance.
- The program fees vary based on the duration and type of project you choose. Please refer to the specific project page on our website for the applicable fees.
- The program fees do not include additional costs such as flights, travel insurance, visa fees, vaccinations, personal expenses, and optional activities.
Currency and Exchange Rates:
- All prices and transactions with SLVP are conducted in the currency specified during the booking process.
- Exchange rates are determined by the payment method or bank used for the transaction. SLVP. is not responsible for any fluctuations in exchange rates or any fees associated with currency conversion.
Payment Options:
- We accept payments via bank transfer, credit card, or online payment platforms. Details and instructions will be provided upon confirmation of your placement.
- Please note that any bank charges or transaction fees incurred during the payment process are the responsibility of the volunteer.
Cancellation and Refund Policy:

Cancellation by the Participant:
- If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us in writing as soon as possible.
- The cancellation fee will be determined based on the time of cancellation and will be communicated to you at the time of booking.
- If you cancel within 31-45 days of travel, a cancellation fee of 50% of the full fee will be charged.
- If you cancel within 15-30 days of travel, a cancellation fee of 75% of the full fee will be charged.
- If you cancel within 14 days of travel, a cancellation fee of 100% of the full fee will be charged.
- Days will be counted from 6:00 am on the Program starting day.
- The deposit amount is generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated during the booking process.
- For cancellations made after the final payment due date, the refund amount will depend on the policies of the accommodations, transportation providers, and other third-party service providers involved in your package.

Cancellation by SLVP:
- SLVP reserves the right to cancel or modify your volunteering package in exceptional circumstances, such as natural disasters, political unrest, or insufficient participant numbers.
- In the event of a cancellation by SLVP, we will provide alternative options or offer a full refund of the amount paid.

Refunds:
- Refunds, if applicable, will be processed according to the refund policy outlined during the booking process and in accordance with the applicable cancellation terms.
- Please note that refunds may be subject to administrative fees or non-refundable costs incurred by SLVP.
