Elephants have held a special place in Sri Lankan culture for centuries, representing strength, wisdom, and cultural heritage. They are deeply intertwined with religious traditions, festivals, and daily life, making them an integral part of the country's identity. However, the changing landscape and increased urbanisation have presented new challenges for these majestic creatures. As a result, dedicated efforts are required to ensure their well-being, preservation, and sustainable coexistence with humans.
