Day 1

Negombo
Upon your arrival at the Colombo International Airport, your chauffeur guide will welcome you and transfer you to Negombo for your first night's stay. Negombo is a major tourist destination in Sri Lanka, known for its luxury tropical lifestyle and easy access to the airport and Colombo city. You can explore the Dutch fort built in 1672, centuries-old Portuguese and Dutch houses, administrative buildings, churches, and the ceiling frescoes of St. Mary’s Cathedral. You can also visit the second-largest fish market in the country, locally famous as the "Lellama," at the north end of the town's lagoon. Program of the Day:

Day 2

Wilpattu National Park evening Safari
After breakfast, we will depart for Wilpattu National Park, one of the largest and most beautiful national parks in Sri Lanka. Wilpattu is home to a diverse array of flora and fauna, including the elusive Sri Lankan leopard, Sri Lankan sloth bear, and Asian elephant. Enjoy a jeep safari through the park and get a chance to see these animals in their natural habitat. In addition to the wildlife, Wilpattu is also known for its ancient ruins, including the Kudiramalai point, which is believed to have been a Buddhist monastery in ancient times. Program of the Day:

Day 4

Anuradhapura Sacred City
Today after breakfast, we will visit the ancient city of Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most significant historical and religious sites in Sri Lanka. Anuradhapura was the first capital of Sri Lanka and is home to some of the most important Buddhist temples and monasteries in the country. You can visit the sacred Sri Maha Bodhi tree, which is believed to have grown from a sampling of the Bodhi tree under which the Buddha achieved enlightenment in Bodhgaya in India, and explore the ruins of the ancient city, including the majestic Ruwanwelisaya stupa and the Thuparamaya temple. Day 5

Mihintale | Minneriya National Park | Habarana
After enjoying breakfast, we will start our day with a visit to Mihintale, a sacred mountain peak in Sri Lanka that is considered the birthplace of Buddhism in the country. Here, we will have the opportunity to explore its religious monuments, temples, and cave dwellings. If you are feeling adventurous, you can also climb to the summit of the mountain to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area. Once we have finished exploring Mihintale, we will make our way to Habarana, which is a popular base for exploring Sri Lanka's Cultural Triangle. In the evening, we will embark on an exciting safari to Minneriya National Park, which is renowned for its large herds of wild elephants and diverse range of other wildlife, including deer, monkeys, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Day 6

Sigiriya | Polonnaruwa | Habarana
After breakfast, we will start our day with a visit to the iconic Sigiriya rock fortress, one of the most impressive historical and architectural landmarks in Sri Lanka and a UNESCO World Heritage site. This massive rock formation was once a royal palace and fortress during the reign of King Kasyapa in the 5th century AD. Next, we will proceed to Polonnaruwa, another ancient city and UNESCO World Heritage site with well-preserved ruins and temples. Polonnaruwa was the second capital of Sri Lanka and flourished between the 11th and 13th centuries. We will explore the ancient city and visit impressive archaeological sites, such as the Royal Palace, the Audience Hall, image houses, and the giant Buddha statues at Gal Vihara. After a full day of exploration, we will return to Habarana for the night. Program of the Day:

Day 7

Dambulla | Kandy
After breakfast, we will depart for Kandy, one of the most charming cities in Sri Lanka and the last royal capital of the country. En route, we will visit the famous Dambulla Cave Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring a series of cave temples filled with ancient statues and paintings. The temple complex, dating back to the 1st century BCE, is one of the best-preserved cave temple complexes in Sri Lanka and in Asia. Once we have explored the temple complex, we will continue our journey to Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. Once we arrive in Kandy, check in to your hotel, relax, and then go on a city tour in Kandy to explore the bustling local market, where you can find a wide range of traditional handicrafts and souvenirs. On completion, return to the hotel and relax. Program of the Day:

Day 8

Kandy | Peradeniya | Knuckles Mountains
Today, after breakfast, we will visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, another UNESCO World Heritage site that houses a sacred tooth relic of the Buddha. At the Temple of the Tooth Relic, you can observe the morning rituals and catch a glimpse of the relic casket in which the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha is reverently kept. The temple is one of the most revered shrines in Sri Lanka and is known for its elaborate architecture and intricate carvings. Next, we will head to the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens, located in close proximity to Kandy. You can take a leisurely stroll through the garden's pathways, lined with over 4000 species of plants, including a vast collection of orchids and other rare and exotic flowers. After lunch, we will continue our journey to the Knuckles Mountain Range, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes. We will embark on a scenic hike in the Knuckles Range, exploring its pristine forests, cascading waterfalls, and panoramic viewpoints. This is a great opportunity to connect with nature and enjoy the tranquility of the mountains. After the hike, we will return to Kandy and have the rest of the evening at leisure. Mahiyangana | Dambana - Aborigine village

Horton Plains National Park | Haputale
Early in the morning, with a packed breakfast, embark on a journey to the Horton Plains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of Sri Lanka's most popular natural attractions, known for its breathtaking scenery, including waterfalls, streams, and lush forests. The park is also home to a variety of unique wildlife, including several endemic species such as the Horton Plains slender loris, sambar deer, and purple-faced langur. The highlight of the park is the World's End viewpoint, which offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscapes. Day 14

Yala National Park

Day 15

Morning Safari at Yala | Sinharaja Rain Forests
After a packed breakfast, we will embark on a morning safari to explore the areas we didn't cover the previous day, or try to spot a leopard if we missed it on the evening safari. Upon returning to the hotel, we will have lunch before departing for Sinharaja Eco Lodge in Deniyaya, a rustic eco-lodge situated on the fringes of the Sinharaja Rainforest, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka's last remaining rainforests. After checking in to the hotel, take some time to explore the surrounding nature and see the stunning Sri Lankan Blue Magpie, a colorful bird that can be spotted in the area. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, taking in the peaceful and natural surroundings. Overnight stay at the eco-lodge. Program of the Day:

Day 16

Sinharaja Rainforest | Unawatuna
After breakfast, go on a leisurely morning trek with an experienced trekker in the Sinharaja Rainforest, where you can witness the diverse flora and fauna of the rainforest. You may have the chance to spot some of the unique and rare species of birds, such as the Sri Lankan Blue Magpie, the Green-billed Coucal, and the Red-faced Malkoha. Additionally, the forest is home to several species of primates, including the Purple-faced Langur, the Toque Macaque, and the Grey Langur. Keep an eye out for reptiles such as the Green Pit Viper, Hump-nosed Viper, and various types of lizards as well.
