What is Included in Your Volunteering Package?
SLVP.travel offers volunteering packages that include a range of services to ensure a meaningful and rewarding experience. Our volunteering packages typically include the following:
- Pre-departure support: We provide pre-departure support to help you prepare for your trip, including visa assistance, travel insurance, and guidance on what to bring.
- Airport pickup: We provide airport pickup upon your arrival in Sri Lanka to ensure a safe and hassle-free arrival.
- Accommodation: We provide accommodation with adequate facilities in a safe and comfortable environment. Depending on your preference and budget, we offer various options such as homestays, shared apartments, or private rooms.
- Orientation: We provide an orientation session that includes an introduction to Sri Lankan culture, history, customs, and safety guidelines.
- Volunteer project placement: We work with a number of local organizations to identify suitable volunteer projects based on your skills, interests, and experience. Our volunteer projects include areas such as education, healthcare, conservation, and community development.
- English-speaking coordinator: We provide an English-speaking coordinator who will be your main point of contact throughout your volunteering experience. The coordinator will provide support, guidance, and feedback on your progress.
- Meals: We provide Sri Lankan meals that are healthy, nutritious, and cater to any dietary requirements (allergies, etc).
- Weekend excursions: We organize weekend excursions to explore Sri Lanka's natural and cultural attractions. These excursions are optional and can be customized/ arranged based on your preferences (Do not include in packages).
- 24/7 support services: We provide 24/7 support services to ensure your safety and comfort during your volunteering experience.

What is Not Included in Your Volunteering Packages?
The following items and services are typically not included in the Volunteering packages:
- Airfare: The cost of flights to and from the destination is not included in the package price.
- Accommodation: While our packages may include accommodation for the duration of the program, any additional nights or upgrades beyond the program dates may not be included.
- Meals: Unless specifically mentioned, meals outside of the designated program activities or meals during free time are generally not included.
- Transportation: Any transportation costs outside of the program, such as airport drop-off or transportation during free time, may not be included.
- Travel insurance: It is important to have adequate travel insurance coverage, and the cost of insurance is typically not included in the package price.
- Visa fees: While we can provide guidance and assistance with visa applications, the fees associated with obtaining a visa or extensions are not included.
- Personal expenses: Expenses such as souvenirs, additional activities not included in the program, personal shopping, and any other personal expenses are not covered in the package price.
- Vaccinations and medical expenses: The cost of necessary vaccinations and any medical expenses incurred during your trip are not included.
- Optional activities: While we offer a comprehensive program, any optional activities or additional excursions beyond the planned program may require an additional cost.
